October 6, 2007, The Big boom on a WSDOT traffic cam at SR 16 and Union Ave looking north at the foundry. There is no audio. This view puts another perspective on the blast. I have to thank the WSDOT. This camera is an excellent use of taxpayer money!

Tacoma Narrows Bridge

On July 15, 2007, the public was allowed to view the Tacoma Narrows Bridge up close (unfortunately I didn't get there in time to do that). The new bridge was open to traffic the next day with a state-of-the-art tolling system. It took over $800 million dollars and about seven years to complete this project.
